Ravings of a Mad Man: vol. 2.44

It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid then open it and remove all doubt

-Mark Twain

So this was a pretty good week for wife and me. We bought a house.  We went on a trip to Chicago. Pretty much awesome.  So we went to Chicago to see Wicked. No, not the new ride at Lagoon, the broadway musical.  Oh what a delight it was to see such talent outside of my own.   I recommend that every man, woman and child who reads this newsletter must make it a goal in their lifetime to see this magical event.  I also recommend that everyone buy a home.   We are soon to be proud homeowner's in the city of Murray .  Go Spartans!  That is their mascot right?  That is also the trivia question for this week.   Good luck Starfox!  Does anyone have a couch for sale?  Preferably Microfiber.  And preferably one that people will look at and say, "I'd like to sit there" not, "is that a couch?"   Our house is a very very very fine house. There will be two trees in the yard and a dog.  There are a few benches to sit on within the bounds of a chain-link fence.   It is just exquisite.  If all goes to plan, we will be there the end of the first week in September.  If you want to you can google our neighborhood at longitude 103.45983056 and latitude 43.87894722.

In the windy city of Chicago we had our fill of fun.  We started out the trip with a trip to Chicago's first Italian restaurant, "Italian Village ".  It was talrific!  Mostly because we were pretty hungry after a long "El" ride from the airport.  Then we enjoyed some of the sites of the city like the "married with children" fountain.   We also went to the 96th floor of the John Hancock Building and enjoyed some Roy Rogers'.  They cost $5, which was $1 for each cherry. Then day two we went to see Ken Griffey Jr. hit a homerun at the cubs' game.   He did not do this.  That evening we enjoyed the finer dining of Chicago at Mickey Dee's before heading off to Wicked.   Day 3 doesn't really matter.  Oh, we saw Beej. Hi Beej!  He took us to the Billy Goat!   He was a miracle in sunglasses.  A little creepy at first, but then we realized "hey, he's just tall and skinny and likes red meat too!"  We did the boat tour that day too. BUILDINGS!  It was remarked to me that the boat tour in Chicago is a lot like the tour we could do in Salt Lake if Salt Lake were built on the banks of a river and a decent lake.  Day 4 we saw planes fly. Then we flew in a plane.   Mind blow!

Have a good week, I know I will.
