Ravings of a Mad Man: vol. 3.07

It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid then open it and remove all doubt

-Mark Twain

2007 has been the best year of my life and that is not an exaggeration. So many amazing and awesome things happened this year that merely typing them into a short little list does not do the year justice. As I sit and listen to my newly acquired Sunday music, a tribute to Gun N Roses by a string quartet, I am stirred up into reflection of January 2007. Returning from Hawaii at 6:30 am I had to be at work at 8:00 am don't think that I was on time. Hawaii is the perfect place to start off a year and a marriage. That same day of returning I started school as well. Oh what a fun semester that was. February brought my birthday, I don't know how it happened but we celebrated my birthday in four parts. Dinners, movies, and fun and games was how I told the world hey I survived another year bring on one more. March was pretty uneventful except that is the month that I sold my car to buy a scooter. What a great decision that was. I thought that the weather was going to be nice and warm until the next winter. Boy was I wrong there were several days that I had to wear my snowboarding apparel to make it into work. I was warmed every time I looked at how much I spent on gas; about $10 a month was pretty sweet if you ask me.

In April and the beginning parts of May Jenny was wrapping up school, which meant two things, one no more ornery Jenny that just studied all of the time and two more time to spend with my wife. At this point I would like to point out that I did not mention that Jenny I got married at the beginning because that was last year. Also in May we spent a week in the Twin Cities and Navuoo. What an exciting trip the Mississippi river is a really nice river and I would love to return and see it again and again. That trip was a success. Anyway, carrying on, June was a very month I got hit by a car. On my way back to work from school I waiting at a light and boom a car hit me. It was rumored to have been a black bear since that was the same time of the black bear attacks but it wasn't. It was the first I had ever been in an accident. After the accident I had to translate for the Firemen there because the people that hit couldn't speak English. Scooter was totaled and so I received money for that and my medical bills. All in all I made some scratch on the scooter investment, which turned into a down payment on my wife's new car. July was fairly uneventful other than every week but one in July I drove to Idaho for family gathering and labor. All of the trips worth every minute it spent to get there.

August was the month that Jenny redeemed her graduation gift and we set sail for Chicago. What a great town. I thought that New York was awesome. Chicago is way awesomer. If I could go there every summer I would. Cub's games and the musical wicked all in one day talk about sensory overload. I know what you are saying this letter sure has turn a little queer but some things are just awesome like Wicked the musical. While in Chicago we, with the help of an over achieving realtor which we loved because we only said we that house and she did everything else, were able to finalize the purchase of our house. September brought more school my first semester on the Hill. What a change, if I had to it all over again I would have paid the extra tuition and started at the U from day one. Sure it was harder but the teachers were a lot better. October Jenny's birthday where she got everything she wanted including the adoption of a dog. So the next month we went to adopt Roscoe but when we got there Frankie was just too cute to leave there so we got two instead of just one. What fun they have been and what a responsibility. Which only leaves December, passing all of my classes was a great blessing as I now prepare to enter into the spring semester and I am almost able to count the classes I have left on my hands. Merry Christmas every one! Be prepared for next week by recommendation of a reader I will be trying something new for 2008.

Have a good week I know I will.

PS Danny tried to get some action from Frankie under our mistletoe.
