Ravings of a Mad Man: vol. 3.23

It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid then open it and remove all doubt

Buckle up!  This favorite phrase of mine was not uttered by Craig during the fourth quarter of the Jazz game on Saturday.  All I have to say is that the Rockets don't have anything on the Jazz.  I don't even think that the Jazz really played that well for most of the game.  It seemed like to me that they decided to turn on the juice when needed and it was really only needed at the beginning of the game and in the third quarter.  The rest of the game was them acting like they were playing a pick-up game with the neighbor who can't walk and only has one good eye.  Because that is the way that I view the Rockets without Yao and their starting point guard.  The Jazz need to watch and be ready if and when Alston returns to the starting line-up; because he could be the experience that the Rockets need to make the Jazz pay.  If the Rockets win one here in Utah it will only fire sleepy eyes up and don't want T-Mac daddy of injuries coming up with a great play that is deemed as best play since MJ pushed off to hit his 2nd career ending jumper in the finals against the Jazz.  Anyway the Jazz won.  That is what I expected them to do and they did it.  I think that game two will be a dog fight and the winner will be determined in the end by some last second heroics because the Jazz will come out fatheaded.

Trivia Time:  Last week's winners were Eric, Andrea, and Wife they knew that Tori was the rebel girlfriend of Zach Morris.  This week's question is, a Tag line from a movie read "It will blow audiences right out of the theater." What was this movie?

This past week Jenny and I were watching the live finale of the Biggest Loser.  Because it's fun that is why we watch, thank you for asking.  Anywho before the last lady went to go weigh in she said something like "Ready or not…" something along those lines then she weighed herself in.  After she said those things I said, "Olly, Olly oxen and free."  Then Jenny looked at me and said, "What the heck did you just say?"  I told her, "That is what you say when you are done looking for people because you caught somebody or you are just tired of looking for the people when are playing hide and go seek."  She of course did not believe me.  So I said I will call my sister and she will verify it.  Then Jenny claimed that would be bias so we would call her sister to resolve the issue so I claimed that would be biased.  Then we both agreed that the person we should call is Danny.  But he washed his phone and can't answer it anymore because it doesn't work right anymore.  So we called Russ.  Posed the question, "What do you say when you are done looking for people while playing hide and go seek?"  His response was, "Olly Olly Oxen Free."  I was right then we found this on the internet. Enjoy.   Olly olly oxen free is a phrase used in children's games, which is generally used to indicate that people who are hiding (in a game of hide and seek, for example) can safely come out into the open.  The exact origin of the phrase is unknown, but etymologists suspect it is a childish corruption of the German "Alle, alle auch sind frei!", (literally, "Everyone, everyone also is free!"), which is purported to have been a cruel joke often played upon Holocaust victims by their jailers. At any particular time, a prisoner might be released, immediately upon which the phrase would be shouted. Any other prisoners who also left would be killed further down the road by Nazi soldiers. So there you have it Kids are prolonging Jewish suffering when using this phrase.

Have a good week I know I will.
